On October 30th at 2PM (KST), Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk reported for duty at the 306 military boot camp for basic training.
All of the Super Junior members, over 50 reporters, and nearly a thousand fans from around the world came to send off the idol. The police were also called in to prevent any accidents.
Upon arriving, Leeteuk commented, “I can’t believe that I’m joining the Army today. I think I will realize that I’m a soldier now when I wake up tomorrow morning. …I will do my best serving in the Army. Yesterday has passed so fast. I had shrimp with [the group members and managers."
He continued "I believe that the twenty-one months will pass faster than I expect. Thank you for supporting me for the last seven years. And thank you for coming to see me early in the morning. I hope you will come to see me on the day I complete my duty."
Kangin addressed Leeteuk as well saying, "I hope you will be safe and sound for twenty-one months. While you are gone, we will grow up and become a better group."
See you in 21 months, Leeteuk!! We are already counting down the days!
