Rainbow’s Hyunyoung opened up about the vocal chord surgery she underwent last year.

She spoke up about it during Rainbow’s comeback showcase, she said that after she underwent the surgery she couldn’t talk for a while and also couldn’t sing for 6 months. She also revealed that she felt hopeless because of this and because they were having a comeback soon she didn’t want to hold back the other members, and therefore took great care of her throat.

The MC for the showcase noticed that her voice also changed after the surgery, saying that her voice became huskier, to this Hyunyoung replied that she thinks it’s more charming.

In other news, Rainbow recently made their comeback with ‘Tell Me Tell Me‘.
