From Wirebot: In Guitar Hero 3, can you not miss a single note on expert? Get the highest score on Crazy Train? Actually be able to complete Dragonforce’s Through the Fire and The Flames? Live in Rhode Island!? Okay, I know that last one wasn’t as exciting, but it really is the only one necessary for participation!

What I am getting at is the announcement of the first Wirebot Gaming Tournament: The Guitar Hero Rock the Box Tournament! This will be taking place on December 2nd, 2009 in Kingston, Rhode Island at the University of Rhode Island at 8pm! We will be pitting the sixteen participants who sign up here on Wirebot against each other in a single elimination bracket. You advance yourself by simply getting a better score than your opponent. Pretty simple. Just make sure you can play hard mode. We don’t mess around with n00bs. More »

In our hands are 10 Ninja Assassin press packets, just dying to be given away. As we mentioned in our Ninja Assassin movie review, a press packet is basically everything you’d ever possibly want to know about the film. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. As in 28 pages worth of factoids, quotes, news…it’s almost a Ninja Assassin bible. More »

These days, I’m reading a great book that I highly recommend called Ninginlight. It was written by this super prolific author, Jinra Meyer. This book is seriously so good, you have to read this passage in the book: “About three things I was absolutely certain. The first, SwanDiary is Ningin’s sister vampire site. The second, Ningin is celebrating SwanDiary’s launch by kicking off the Ningin Bloodsucker Special, a vampire-themed week filled with Asian pop culture goodness. And third, I am sure you will be unconditionally and irrevocably in love with all the specials we have planned. It’ll suck…in a good way. More »

Ever have those mornings after a long debaucherous night, only to realize you don’t remember a thing? I know I have once or five times. How about waking up only to find that you can’t remember a thing from being inside a hyper-sleep chamber in deep space? Don’t look at me guys, I’m actually not an alien — can’t shed any light on that. Perhaps, the upcoming Pandorum film featuring world-class martial artist Cung Le, will? Le plays Manh, a space crew member that aids Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster’s characters into figuring out what happened while hungover, deep space-style. I can’t promise full space cadet-hood with the Pandorum Pin game, but at least you’ll remember it. That’s how good it is this week. More »

This past Saturday the Secret Identities people held their first ever Asian American ComiCon. It was one of those getting back to roots and community type events that Ningin is always happy to sponsor. I was only able to catch the last 30 minutes of the event, but from what I can tell, everything looked very well organized and the new Museum of Chinese in America is a gorgeous place in the heart of Chinatown, New York. Photos after the jump. More »
