There is an anime for Arakawa Under the Bridge series coming out, but I read some of the manga to get a taste of what it’s like. It’s really weird. While it never made me laugh out loud or anything, I had a stupid grin plastered on my face the whole time I was reading this. More »

Today I will feature a dedicated and talented cosplayer, twinklee of deviantART, cosplaying as Astharoshe from Trinity Blood. To tell you the truth, I haven’t seen nor read Trinity Blood so I don’t know if this costume is accurate. All I can say is that twinklee did one heck of a job creating this masterpiece of a costume. Manga or manhwa, if it’s lucky enough, lives on beyond the pages and onto the small or the big screen. If it’s even luckier, manga/manhwa makes it to my list of top 5 manga turned live action. More »

I’m not too familiar with any Chinese manhua (Chinese manga) — the only one I have ever read is Ravages of Time. Manhua is pretty much Chinese comics. I always thought Korean comics were called the same thing, but I recently noticed that they’re actually called manhwa. Not a big difference, they’re all comics either way. I don’t know why manga seems to be the most popular, but Ravages of Time is easily better than most manga I have read. The artwork is incredibly detailed and fits the story very well. The fight scenes would also look amazing if they were animated. I had a problem with the story though. More »

The only manga I really read and the only anime I really watch is Bleach. I really don’t know why, but I just decided to pick it up one day, and I’ve been following it ever since. Anyway, Bleach, in my opinion, features some of the most badass and timeless characters ever. In no particular order, here’s my list of the top 5 Bleach characters: More »

I’m willing to try any foods out, no matter how strange they sound. However taco ramen sounds a bit too strange for me. Two completely different foods mixed together like this? It would have an interesting taste… More »

Yuu Watase is commonly known as the Queen of Modern Shoujo Manga. She is one of the most appreciated mangakas (manga artists) of shoujo manga. She also does bishounen since she frequently uses pretty boy characters. She was born March 5, 1970 in Osaka, Japan. She won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo for Ceres, Celestial Legend in 1998. She writes her own stories and draws her own characters. She is amazing at what she does. In Shojo Beat, she even did a long running segment on how to draw and create your own manga. More »

Well here’s something you don’t hear everyday. A subject so common such as plagiarism gets a twist with a rock star’s son plagiarizing a famous mangaka. Gene Simmons’s son, Nick, was recently accused of plagiarizing Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga with his comic Incarnate. More »
