Not long ago, we launched this epic Mixr Rewards giveaway of a choice between a Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii along with their respective controllers as second place prizes. Entering this contest was a piece of mochi. All you had to do was post a comment to any of our blog posts and have it appear on your Facebook wall from Ningin or Ziggytek. The more active you were, the higher your chances to become a winner. This is basically what winning looks like: More »

The Wonder Girls recently attended a Sony Ericsson press conference in Singapore. The girls were dubbed as the “international ambassadors” for the phone company. Aside from doing a presentation and performing, the girls also had time for a short interview. More »

From Rekuru: They’re not so much watching you as making sure you’re keeping busy. New technology developed by the fun people over at KDDI have found a way to make your cell phone tell them if you’re goofing off at work. Which clearly can’t be good for those of us who do love our goofing time. More »

It has been reported that the collaboration song of Heartbreaker between G-Dragon and Flo-Rida will be released with G-Dragon’s live concert album, scheduled to be released the end of the month. This is an interesting collaboration, especially since Heartbreaker doesn’t seem like a song Flo-Rida would be a part of. More »

This is my third T-ARA mania post in a row, just because those girls are just way to hyper and can’t sit still! The group starts off the week strong, with a promotional campaign for just about everything under the sun. First off we have the girls featured in a cute Korean video game called Z9 Star, Hyomin goes camera selca crazy in Japan all while the Bubi Bubi (cell phone) shoot is finalized. What a week! More »

I’m sorry but “MANIA” does not cut it for this post. Let’s try MADNESS! The T-ARA train just does not stop for any blogger to catch up. In just the second day passing, their promotional campaign only got bigger and stronger. More »

Japan sure has some of the weirdest and useless iPhone applications ever. Take this one for example called Japanese Smash Girls. It’s an app where you shake the phone to see girls smashing guitars. But don’t worry, these guitars were especially made for smashing. They’re called SMASH guitars. Did not know that such a thing existed. More »

This has got to be one of the weirdest things I’ve heard of (and I’ve heard of plenty of weird stuff). It seems that using sausage snacks as a stylus for your iPhone is a popular trend in Korea right now. Weird… More »

2NE1’s new digital single entitled “Try To Copy Me” has been all the rage lately, but we shouldn’t forget that this song is, in fact, promoting a product. This song serves as the music for the Samsung Corby F commercial. Read on to find out what Tuc thinks of this commercial… More »

Teasers can be a very deceiving thing. When I first heard the preview for Big Bang’s new Lollipop 2 promotional song, I thought that it was kind of trite. The full version just recently hit, and I guess I’m now eating my own words (or a lollipop); the song is not all that bad. More »

Oh, technology, how far you have come from back in the day. Jinra just sent me this awesome video of these robots dancing to the Wonder Girls’ hit song called “Nobody,” and it is amazing! More »

Looks like Big Bang has ditched 2NE1 and is moving on with promotions for the LG Lollipop 2. A short preview was recently released of the song. Will this song live up to the first one? Or will it be lacking a certain “female touch?” Keep reading for Tuc’s take on things… More »

From Wirebot:

As many of you probably know, yesterday marked the start of an epic phase in the gaming world. Blizzard finally launched its Beta phase for the new Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty game. After having messed with the original Starcraft for THE LONGEST TIME (you know how long it’s been, with those outdated graphics and semi-awkward gameplay), having the chance to finally unveil this new horizon has been nothing but A+ for me so far. From Ziggytek: Hey to all you lonely geeks out there! I was assigned the “Top 10 Most Eligible Geek Bachelorettes” topic. You’re all in luck, as I have great taste in women (questionable…). Let’s begin (Asian bias? A little…)! More »

From Rekuru: Is Purikura too ‘tame’ for you? Has the thrill of drawing strawberries and fireworks all over your friends worn off? Well then you might want to give Videkura a try. More »

From Rekuru: The biggest downside to have a great cat or dog is that you’re going to outlive it. I know. Super sad. Well leave it to Japan to start selling an Anti-Ageing Chamber for pets. Just look at the pictures. Does it not freak you out a bit? More »

Namie Amuro was granted a chance to attend the Grammy Awards last week and interview Lady Gaga (whom she is a fan of) for a special program by WOWOW. But she turned down the offer. More »

From Rekuru: What do you buy a geek who already has every cool gadget? How about a $3,300 wireless programmable robot, care of Fujisoft. More »
