Sugar highs don’t last forever and neither does the third testing of Mixr Legions. Three tests, three wins under the generalship of lytoe, as her Team Chocopie once again wins it all! Team Chocopie didn’t just win this, they won by a score difference of about 800 points over second place Team Pocky. Lucky Candy made a run at second and if given more time, might have taken it. Black Black was the 4th place finisher and narrowly missed out on 3rd. They finish with about a 30 point differential. Team Pepero finished 5th and the last team to secure Reward Points but even more narrowly beat out Team Hello Panda by 24 points. I did not expect the conclusion to be this close. I’m sure if another day was added to this session, Hello Panda would of been in the top 5. Well, c’est la vie. Final standings: More »

Here we go again Ninginers! Mixr Legions Test #4. Let’s go, sign-up! Those new to Ningin, this is an especially great way to learn the ins and outs of Ningin. It’s also a great way to make friends and connect with other KPOP-loving members. Snack time is almost over and with that Mixr Legions Test #3 as well. Only about 4 days remaining for teams to change their standing. As it stands here are the current scores: Chocopie (1570), Pocky (1029), Lucky Candy (909), Black Black (846), and Pepero (666). I thought Hello Panda might have made a run for 5th, but they didn’t manage their Territories well enough. Black Black is close enough to Lucky Candy to represent the only real race remaining. The difference between them is just 60 points. One strong day of Legion Olympics and Daily Domination is all it would take. Lucky Candy also has a smallish chance of taking second from Pocky. It would take two strong days from them and of course Pocky would need to do nothing during this time. I guess we’ll see in a few days… More »

Yesterday we revealed the KPOP Idol-Off 2 brackets. Now it’s time to reveal the prizes for this 8-month long event. In total there will be 81 TOTAL PRIZES including 19 autograph items!! And now for the moment that many have been waiting for: The KPOP Idol-Off Season 2 Bracket announcement! Remember, we’ve expanded the brackets from 24 to 32 compared to the first season. The double calamity of earthquakes and tsunamis to hit Japan last week weighs heavy on the hearts of many people throughout the world. The lost of lives is in excess of 10,000. The number of homeless, hungry, and helpless will surely exceed that by orders of magnitude. The situation cannot be more dire and the need to donate time, resources, and money cannot be more great. Most of us do not have the luxury of volunteering our time nor have resources to provide. However, many of us should be able to make small donations to the many charities that have a presence in Japan. One in particular I would like you to be aware of is MercyCorps. So far this third test of Mixr Legions has been running rather smoothly, which is a pretty sweet thing. I think the changes I’ve made to prevent inactivity in MLG matches has been working rather well. Last night, I’ve added some roster management features as well. Before I get to that, let’s check the scores. Pocky has a nice first place lead over Lucky Candy at 144 - 113. Black Black (109), Chocopie (95), and Chippy (79) round out the top 5. This morning around 3am EST, 3pm local Japan time, there was a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck off the cost of northeast Japan. Subsequent tsunamis as high as 23 feet further devastated the Japanese coastline. According to Yahoo news, this is the 5th largest earthquake in the past 100 years. Tsunami warnings for waves as high as 8 feet have been issued for Hawaii and the coast Pacific coast of the United States. At least 1000 people have already been reported dead with many more reported missing.
