A big thanks to the BoA fans that came out to Club Touch in NYC last nite! It was awesome to hear “Look Who’s Talking”, “Eat You Up”, “Touched”, and “Energetic” on the big sound system. I won’t forget when the cheers went up from the dancefloor when we started off with “Look Who’s Talking” then going straight into a special video edit of “Eat You Up”. My favorite was “Touched” which got a response of “This track is hot!” from the DJ crew. More »

While David was chatting away with Utada, I was sitting on the couch with Utada’s father and manager, Teruzane Utada. Oh man, is he a cool guy! It’s too bad I can’t share some of the stories he told me about Utada. Perhaps one day I can…

Big Bang’s second album titled “Remember” is here! To jump start on things, Big Bang has released their video for the song “Red Sunset” a cover of a song by Lee Moon Sae. As a start, I guess I’ll have to review that first since I saw it first before the album.
Well, I must say, it’s a cute video. I thought Daesung was cute running around like a doofus. Of course, TOP is hot as always. It’s an interesting cover of the song. It’s definitely in the pop category. It’s very obvious that Big Bang’s style likes to constantly change. It was odd listening to “Number 1″ earlier today and then to jump to this. I was also distracted by their sign that read “Let’s go west!” Apparently, it’s an attempt at awareness for the major oil spill that happened in S. Korea a while ago. Well, I like the enthusiasm but it’s kinda late for that. It’s a very upbeat song and I must admit it’s catchy. But of course, Big Bang finally got better when they covered someone else’s song. TVXQ has officially released their fourth album, Mirotic, only a few days ago but even before then it has hit number 1 on the charts. I’m glad they’re back in Korea again so they can put these fake talentless boy bands to shame.
The new album is title Mirotic which is the combination of a coined Korean word “miro” and the English word “tic”. The word “miro” means “lost or maze” which has lead people to believe the definition is the feeling of being wrapped in love with no way out.
Listening to the entire album, I was more of a fan of the slow songs (especially Jae Joong’s solo) over the upbeat ones although “Wrong Number” and “Crazy Love” were one of my favorites. I really enjoyed the entire album with its techno pop feel; definitely a hit for a comeback album. More »
Your manly looking idol is going to release an album in October and take part in a comeback program with major Korean broadcaster MBC.
After attempting to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and realizing that he doesn’t have much of an acting talent, Rain has decided to return to his comfort zone, which is recording sub-standard songs and shaking his bon bon for his screaming fans. According to the Asian Michael Jackson, this will be an album made for all his Asian fans. It contains both Korean and English songs. It even has some of the songs that Rain wrote for himself. Great, we are so in for a treat! I am sure one of the songs he wrote is about how he was falling in love with a dude girl but she fell sick and left him after she found out she was going to die soon. This is a typical plot in a Korean soap. Most Asian girls love that kind of crap. They will even shed a tear or two whenever that song comes on the radio.
