Alexa Chung, hipster turned model turned MTV talk show host turned fashion designer graces the cover of Vogue UK’s March issue. The feature on Alexa Chung is an essay she wrote on jeans, her fashion obsession. (And mine!) “Denim is a symbol of youth, sex, rebellion and, most essentially, America,” she writes. “Buying jeans is our first foray in American style.” One that she’s come to know well. “My denim shirts appear to be breeding in the bottom of my wardrobe,” she jokes, “and my newfound appetite for all things dungaree is becoming a worry.” More »

I am not going to lie, I have a TOTAL girl-boner for Alexa Chung. It’s so bad, I’d switch teams for her. Luckily, despite the cancellation of MTV’s “It’s On with Alexa Chung,” she once again proves to us that there is life after MTV. Of course the first piece of proof is the fact that she recently topped the list of Vogue’s Most Stylish People. The second piece of proof is that she’s the new face of Pepe Jeans alongside sexy male models Tom Guinness and Boyd Holbrook. I’m not necessarily a fan of Pepe Jeans, but looking at the photoshoot pics shot by Tom Munro is making me reconsider. More »

Even though MTV turned off “It’s On with Alexa Chung,” Alexa Chung proves that there’s life beyond a canceled MTV show. Alexa recently beat out Sarah Jessica Parker and model Kate Moss to top Vogue’s list of the most stylish people of 2009. Britain’s former T4 TV personality and my personal style icon, Alexa Chung, is coming stateside via MTV’s “The Alexa Chung Show.” The Alexa Chung show is deemed the successor to MTV’s TRL show, but with a twist. A Twitter twist. Unlike TRL where viewers were filmed or phoned to express reactions to celebrity guests, The Alexa Chung show’s partnership with Twitter will allow just about anyone with a Twitter account to Tweet their reactions that will be made visible on-screen.
