This is a pretty solemn week for anyone who read the latest chapters of Naruto, Bleach and One Piece. Possible heavy spoiler ahead. Although I dislike Bleach and Naruto so I found those chapters pretty funny. I love One Piece though and damn, this chapter made me shed a tear. The events in these chapters have been predicted, but that doesn’t make it any less satisfying to read. More »

I was on one of my random Youtube searches when I came upon a few interesting videos that combined 2 anime series into one opening sequence. The videos are well-done and could almost pull off as the real thing. See for yourselves. More »

This is a decent Touhou song but the main attraction is the video. Everything just flows very smoothly and it’s addicting to watch. I can keep this looping all day and not get bored. I was recently introduced to this video through some McDonald’s spin-off and I just stumbled across the original. There’s a lot of information available on how the video began and it’s pretty funny. They’re available on the uploader’s comment. The video even showed up on CNN where they obviously had no idea what they were commenting about but it made me laugh either way. More »

When the first Abercrombie store opened in Japan recently, people were in a craze. However, now it seems that Japanese shoppers aren’t satisfied with their shopping experience. More »

Lately, I’ve been into catching up on my manga series including Kimi ni Todoke, and I’ve started a few more. Kimi ni Todoke is one that I am really liking, and are quite popular. Kimi ni Todoke was a huge hit in Japan and won Best Shojo Manga at 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Awards. Right now, it’s anime is airing in Japan, and it has been said that a live-action movie is in the works. It is finally being published in the US, and I love it. If you haven’t read it yet, I really recommend it for all of you. More »

It seems the Brown Eyed GirlsAbracadabra is still hot, evidenced by a recent video released from American Eagle. A few of their models were caught on tape doing the “saucy hip dance” and from the looks of it, they’re having fun! Way to spread the k-pop love. More »

Scandinavian furniture store Ikea is releasing a new line called CHARLOTTA. It will contain designs by Åsa Ekström, whose influences come from manga. More »

Get intimate with Jaejoong of DBSK/Tohoshinki in the recent issue of S Kawaii Magazine. Get to know what kind of room he has, his hobbies, and favorite movie and music. Also, if you’re single, he wants you to send him chocolate on Valentine’s Day so he won’t feel so lonely! More »

I never knew Persona 3 Audio Dramas existed until recently. They are supposed to be a lot of them but the only one I’ve watched/listened to was “A Certain Day of Summer.” Although audio dramas are supposed to be audio only, these are animated for some reason, I’m assuming it’s a fan who did it. This one was pretty funny and got me interested in more, but not interested enough to search for them. Maybe if I ever stumble across a bundle of them all translated I’ll watch it. Wikipedia says that there’s another audio drama coming out February 25th. Maybe by then I’ll be motivated to look for more. If I knew about this while I was playing through P3 I’d be all over it. I’ll definitely be playing P3 portable though. More »

Who is Rilakkuma? What does he want? (I’ll give you a hint, it’s not your porridge.) Where does he come from? And why is everyone making such a big fuss about his US Debut? More »

Even though cats have destroyed more Japanese homes than anyone cares to admit (that’s what you get for making your walls out of paper!) the Japanese just can’t get enough. Which is why I’m about to fill your daily cup of ‘cute’ until it overflows. More »

So enough of this filler junk that the anime is dealing out in Bleach. Today’s post is going to regress back to the actual storyline. The latest chapter of the Bleach manga is Chapter 391: The Blazing Glaciers. More »

The Last Airbender teaser for the Super Bowl is out and it looks surprisingly awesome! You get a taste of each bending style (Earth, Fire, Air, Water). My doubts about the movie have gone down a notch. Hopefully this isn’t one of those trailers where they show all the good stuff and when you watch the actual movie there’s nothing left to enjoy. Let’s hope M. Night Shyamalan directs this right! More »

The Highschool of the Dead manga has been on hiatus for over a year and it’s been announced that it will be returning along with an anime being developed. The artist for the manga has done a lot of hentai stuff and it shows in the manga with tons of blatant fan service. And there’s a lot of it. Almost every single drawing of a female character is an erotic one. I think this will do pretty well as an anime, but I’d definitely avoid watching it if there is anyone around. More »

So in addition to covering the Chuno episodes, I’ll also be covering the Bleach anime and manga. Typically these posts will come out on Wednesday and Friday respectively. Anyway, this week’s anime episode was called “Byakuya’s Anger! The Kuchiki Family Collapses.” Read on for the low down on the episode… More »

It seems Lee Byung Hun is in high demand! He is going to receive a larger role in the next G.I. Joe movie. More stories are being developed for his character, Storm Shadow, which is awesome! I want to see him in more Hollywood movies. But with his growing popularity, maybe I will? More »

When I first started reading Yankee-kun to Meganee-chan last year, I wasn’t impressed at all. The art wasn’t that great and the story was boring. Something changed though. I recently re-read the first chapters and caught up to the most recent chapter and for some reason everything seemed better. While the beginning was still weak, it gets a lot better after. More »

Ahhh. 2AM is such good ear candy, especially if you listen to them live. And you know what’s good about listening to them? I won’t get cavities, and I don’t need to wash my ears after listening to them. If only that were true with real candy. Stuff your ears with this! More »

All manga obsessions have to start somewhere; it just so happened Sailor Moon was mine. It’s pretty typical no matter how you look at it. I was in elementary school, 3rd or 4th grade, and my friend lent me the manga volumes. I watched the anime as well. I like to think that Sailor Moon, Pokémon, and Digimon led me to be the way I am today. More »
