From Rekuru: Nippon no Arashi is a book that was for 40,000 elementary, junior high, and senior high schools in Japan. Last fall the boys of Arashi volunteered to be the navigators. The book was never on sale in the public, but this is about to change. More »

From Rekuru: The 5 member boy band Arashi will be holding charity events in support of the victims of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake at the Tokyo Dome, from June 24th to 26th. a portion of the proceeds will be donated to disaster relief. The boys were originally scheduled to perform at the Tokyo Done as part of their nationwide tour, but due to the electricity shortage in Japan, they changed the five Tokyo Done concerts into charity events instead. A preview shown at the end of the May 19th broadcast of VS Arashi showed a clip of Haruna Ai and Arashi members Ninomiya Kazunari and Ohno Satoshi dancing to SNSD‘s “Gee!” This isn’t the first time the group has danced to KPop songs as Matsumoto Jun also showcased his dancing skills by doing KARA’s “butt dance” on an earlier episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare. Member of Arashi and often called MatsuJun, he is an idol, singer, actor and radio host. From Rekuru: According to a popular Japanese online music shop, Shinseido, Arashi will be releasing a new album and DVD this summer! Titled, “Beautiful World”, the first press copies of the album will come with a special booklet and an alternate jacket, and according to Shinseido, it will have seven new songs plus solo songs. From Rekuru: It has been announced that a new CM for au (mobile phone brand) featuring Arashi members will be released on May 1st. In the previous CM, all the members of Arashi appeared in one commercial, though it was a combination of individual scenes each member has one. Now, each member gets one commercial.
