For a few months now, Ningin bloggers have been supplying you with a song of the day, video of the day, and a photo of the day. We’re now opening it up to user contributions as mentioned in our Blog Games announcement. If one of your song, video or photo suggestion is used, we’ll give you 100 EXP points! All you have to do is suggest a link. More »

Starting next week, we’re going to introduce a whole new way of earning EXP, Blog Games! Sounds great right? Need more details? Then read on. More »

Starting with this week, mods get a bonus of 250 EXP per week. They do a lot of work here, answering your questions - for which there are many - and making you guys feel welcome. So this is a small reward for their volunteer efforts. It’s not enough to win anything obviously, but large enough that it would make a small difference. More »

At the end of each day (12am EST), those with the 10 highest score for the day will get a small, but significant EXP bonus. Those in the top 3 for the day will get a slightly bigger bonus. It’s definitely going to make a difference over the course of a week. This change went into effect as of yesterday. More »

For those new to Ningin, we give out various poster and album prizes to our top users every week as deemed by their total contributions to Ningin which our EXP system keeps track of. I wrote a definitive guide about this last week. We hope you find this incarnation a little easier to use and a little easier on the eyes. (You might press F5 to refresh your browser if things look weird.) Though keep in mind that Ningin is constantly a work in progress. There are many more features and applications we have on our roadmap. One minor change that we’ve made somewhat unceremoniously a couple of weeks ago is our tagline – from Asian Media Exchange to Asian Media Community. (How many people actually noticed that?) We feel that the word “community” fits us better because that’s in a nutshell who and what we are. With the help of you, our users, Ningin is a community of people interested in all things related to Asian media. Wonderful things tend to happen when you put people together with similar interests and that’s been a big driver of growth and ideas for us.
