Everyone loves Hello Kitty. Even evil villains. Take Star WarsDarth Vader for example. For the next spinoff of the series, Star Wars: The Kitty Wars, Vader chooses Hello Kitty to be the official mascot of his empire. He even ditched his old costume for one that’s more suitable for the empire’s image. More »

I’m currently playing Final Fantasy X and was in the mode to post Final Fantasy cosplay for Picture of the Day when I stumbled upon this adorable picture (looking at Yuna’s cosplayer, I assume it’s from FFX2). They both cosplay their characters, Tidus and Yuna, very well. They even share a real kiss! More »

From Wirebot:

Everyone loves cosplay! While I myself do not have the time or patience it takes to craft these real life adaptions of our favorite characters, I applaud those who do! In this feature we have collected some of the best and worst Bioshock cosplayers from around the ‘net. You think you’ve seen some ugly Splicers? Wait until you see some of these! More »

When I stumbled across this video fifteen minutes ago, I was literally lost for words for about five minutes. I really don’t have the words to describe how I feel about this video… More »

Ahhh. 2AM is such good ear candy, especially if you listen to them live. And you know what’s good about listening to them? I won’t get cavities, and I don’t need to wash my ears after listening to them. If only that were true with real candy. Stuff your ears with this! More »

Whether the child’s parents/siblings/relatives made her (or him?) do this or she (he?) just wanted to wear a Link costume, there is no denying that this child is adorable. More »

From Rekuru:

Comic cons, anime festivals, and the like have run their course this year. With 2009 almost at an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the best cosplay of the year. And while the many festivals and conventions have come and gone, 2010 is around the corner with more cosplay goodness waiting to be had. More »

From Rekuru: A while back, in August to be precise, I attended San Francisco’s J-Pop Festival in honor of the grand opening of New People, a store/art gallery for everything japanese. Besides plenty of girls dressed up in cute dresses, Yoshitaka Amano made an appearance (renowned artist most known for his work on Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D), and even a fashion show was on for the day’s events. I debated with myself whether to post this up here as it’s now November but I decided what the hell as any J-pop is better than none. So with that said, I hope you enjoy the pictures. More »

Now it’s time for me to cover the two events that I enjoyed the most: CosFest and PMX Fashion Show. More »

Saturday was a more interesting and fun experience. There were a lot more people which meant that there were more cosplayers and more cosplayers means more fun! This was my first time seeing people cosplay in person and I have to say, I’m impressed by the quality of some of the costumes and the time the people dedicated to create such works of art. And yes, I think cosplay is an art form. More »

Lots of things going on lately. First, I hope you guys enjoyed the wonderfully put together Halloween Special by Jinra and the Ningin Bloggers. Mixed within all of that is two great interviews of Harry Shum from Glee and my personal cosplay hero, Alodia Gosiengfiao. Then there’s the Wirebot - gaming community - expansion. The door was cracked open last week, but we’re going to make a big gaming push this week with tons of gaming related articles coming your away across the entire network starting tomorrow. And already it’s November 1st. November is going to be all about expansion as we’re looking to launch one new website a week. Yes you read that right, one website a week! Of course, we got some great prizes coming up from autographed memorabilia to Nintendo Wiis and Xbox360s. Lots of things to look forward too! More »

For most Americans, dressing up in costume only happens once a year on Halloween. For others, Halloween need not be required to dress up — it’s a hobby called cosplay. Cosplay for Alodia Gosiengfiao is more than just a hobby. In the world of cosplay, Alodia Gosiengfiao is a queen. She’s graced magazine covers, been featured on talk shows and ranked in this year’s FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World list, Philippine edition. I obviously did not rank this year, but luckily for us, Alodia was kind to let me interview her. More »

So what/who are you going to dress as for Halloween this year? Let these celebrities give you some fashionable inspiration for dressing up for this year’s Halloween parties! More »

No, Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane from Spiderman) isn’t a hard core anime fan (or is she?). She’s dolled up for a music video directed by McG (Terminator Salvation). More »

From Girlybubble: The San Diego Comic Con has been pretty much everywhere in the news this past week with so many big entertainment companies looking to promote their shows, games, what have you. But not enough attention was paid to the cute people and costumes there! In an effort to change that, I sifted through almost tons of photos and found 15 that pass my cuteness threshold. So enjoy!~ More »

Rain is still alive and doing well even though he decided to turn down Megan Fox. Still don’t know what he was thinking about Megan Fox. If she asked me out I would say yes and I’m not a lesbian! Ok that’s another story. Let’s focus on photos of Rain at the Asia Dream Concert. And don’t forget to check out my Girlybubble stuff if you’re into cute, girly things ^^

T-ara, the group that has no sense of image or identity, has came out with a new look. Quite a contrast from SNSD which has that one set of navy/marine outfit. Perhaps this is the opposite marketing strategy to blitz people with photos and see what sticks. I use to work in advertising and one of the central rules in that industry is to make sure you have a consistent message. But then again, there’s people who went against the grain and made it work. So we’ll see I guess.

We talk about and show a lot of stories about the weirdness that is Japanese culture sometimes. I think you would have to agree with me that this is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever read. It’s been raining tadpoles in Japan…actual tadpoles. If you’re afraid of seeing a lot of dead tadpoles, I suggest you don’t click through…

Photographer Tina Chou reports on the third and final day of mighty AnimeNEXT 2009! From Tina Chou: Hello again! Today was the last day of AnimeNEXT and this convention has definitely been an interesting experience. I’m a con n00b no more! The peak of the convention was clearly yesterday so things were mostly were winding down today. I was still able to get a full day in tho! More »

The day after an amazing performance, Tina Chou got a chance to sit in on the FAKE? Q&A session at AnimeNEXT. From Tina Chou: FAKE? was onstage and they are Ken Lloyd’s usual bandmates. He met them through friends of friends. Each member is in other bands making scheduling difficult — but they all made it to AnimeNEXT. More »
