Many times, the Kpop world seems to like to purchase rights to songs that have already been released and are popular in other parts of the world, or sometimes the original English demos of the songs are later leaked or released. Other times, it happens to work the other way around in which popular songs become an inspiration for others and plagarism issues arise. This time we will be looking at DJ Doc’s Run To You vs. Edison Chen’s Run To U. More »

After releasing his comeback single, Mr. Sandman, last month, Edison Chen is continuing on his journey to regain a foothold in the music industry. The fallen star has recently released the movie for a new single entitled Running. More »

After having starred as the male lead role in the 2005 film Initial D, Jay Chou is taking a step up and taking on the role of director for the sequel. Having already dabbled previously in the film industry (with mixed reviews) Jay Chou is pursuing his goal of becoming an “all-around entertainer” with this new project. More »

The notorious Hong Kong celebrity Edison Chen is finally stepping back into the music industry for the first time since the fallout of his fame when some less-than-appropriate pictures of him and other female celebrities were leaked to the public. Well, the past is behind him now, because the man has just released a new music video for his new single Mr. Sandman. More »

To me, a friend-pairing between Taiwanese singer Jay Chou and Hong Kong playboy Edison Chen seems a little unsettling. You would think that after Mr. Chen’s “photo adventures” that very few celebrities would want to be associated with him anymore, especially one such as Jay Chou. But, it looks like the two seem to get along just fine! More »

Hong Kong playboy Edison Chen excused himself from the Hong Kong entertainment industry two years ago in 2008 when unsavory photos of himself and several other female celebrities were released to the public, causing widespread outrage at all parties involved. Well, Edison has recently announced that he will soon be making a comeback to the industry, putting his dark past behind him. More »

My medical examination test results are in. There’s no hope for Awesome Blog Post Overload Syndrome (ABPOS). Every week, the best I can do, is just feature all the best stories from last week that didn’t make the main page. You are my only hope. More »

Cantopop duo TWINS were HUGE in the early 2000s before Gillian Chung was involved in the Edison Chen scandal. The two were big in the music scene and in movies. With their 10 year anniversary coming up, the two find it necessary to get back together. Although I never listened to them or was a big fan, I’m glad the two are getting back together, and that Gillian is bouncing back finally. I might start listening to them now. More »

As most know or if you don’t, Edison Chen was involved in a major sex scandal 2 years ago, which included pictures of him with several different female celebrities being spread around the internet. The female celebrities included Gillian Chung (from the Cantopop group Twins), Bobo Chan, and Cecilia Cheung (who was actually married to Nicolas Tse and had a baby by this time. Don’t worry, they are still together). Anyway, in a recent interview he was asked and I quote, “Edison was asked if his life experiences were brought up to the big screen as an inspirational story, which actor does he want to play him the most?” He said Tony Leung Chiu Wai. As if they haven’t learned anything from the Edison Chen’s sex photo scandal, two well known Korean male artists took some 140 sexually explicit photos at a nightclub in Seoul and now the photos have been leaked on various websites. These photos show these two dumb asses kissing and petting with two girls. The photos also show them flashing their boobs, peens and vajayjays, and the gals trying to pull of a Thailand sex show act by holding beer bottles with their breasts (next time they should try showcasing their lower body strength by shooting darts or ping pong balls instead). As if he hasn’t tortured us enough with pictures of his peen already, Edison Chen, the main dude in Asia’s biggest sex photo scandal, spoke to CNN recently to tell his side of the story. Puuullleaaasseee….. shut your trap already! No one cares if you were a victim. No one cares if you had intended to communicate with the female victims but your lawyer advised you against it. No one cares if you received death threats. No one cares if your career took a hit because of it. More »

Ok, so the bitches who were part of Edison Chen’s dirty photo collection are now coming out in droves to bitch about that prick. First it was the fiery Cecilia Cheung who granted an exclusive interview with Hong Kong’s main cable channel I-Cable and now it was the innocent and frail Gillian Chung who did the same with Hong Kong’s main TV station, TVB. One of Edison Chen’s sex photo scandal victims Cecilia Cheung recently appeared in an exclusive interview with Hong Kong cable TV channel I-Cable and boy was she pissed. Homegirl’s tirade against that prick was seen by millions of viewers in HK, who all were looking forward to this interview since this was the first time Cecilia had spoken even since her scandalous pictures surfaced on the web. The interview was broken into two parts and the first part was aired last Friday. The cable TV channel also made the sudden decision of shelving the concluding half of the interview following the telecast of the first part. Oh, please don’t keep us guessing! I bet Cecilia told the interviewer that jackass here ejaculates prematurely and his peen curves to the left when erect. More »

Apparently, some turds are hard to get rid of, like those that you can’t flush away (even after the fifth try), and you stand there all embarrassed, stressing over what to do.  This was the case with the king of nude photo scandals Edison Chen, who testified in a Canadian court this week about the photo scandal.  I thought we would never see this turd in the news ever again when he left Hong Kong hurriedly after the scandal broke (dude has been hiding in San Francisco all this time). But just when I was about to erase him from my not-so-pleasant memories (save the image of his impressive peen, which did us Asian men rather proud, I have to admit), he was on the news again. Apparently this turd here was too afraid to fly back to Hong Kong to testify in the photo scandal case, so he requested for the hearing to be conducted in Vancouver, where he was born. More »

Talk is cheap, barbers give it away for free with a haircut; however, there are moments in conversation that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. The following celebs have left their mark in media history by saying the wrong thing at the wrong place and time. While most can simply be laughed off, others will haunt them forever. More »

Don’t act like you’ve never subjected an hour of your time watching an E! special on top (insert topic here.) You’ve been bored before, don’t lie. Ningin.com is certainly not going lie about this: 2008 experienced a few Asian scandals. Not enough to warrant an E! special, but enough for Ningin.com’s sake. In no particular order, save for the last scandal (the biggest scandal), 2008’s scandals: More »

I started out with the intention of writing the Top 10 Moments of 2008. You just don’t know how much has happened in a year until you sit down and have to write about it. Below are 10 distinctive moments for me in 2008, but trust me, there’s so much more that happened. If your favorite 2008 moment didn’t make the list, don’t be sad. There’s always next year! More »

It’s the end of the road for 2008. Goodbye Samurai Girl, Edison Chen and your photos, and of course goodbye to George W. Bush. Special thanks to Beijing Olympics, the cast of Hana Yori Dango, and Barrack Obama. You’ve been great!

If this year was good to you, then you’ll probably look back on it with fond memories. If this was a rough year for you, I’m talking to you American economy, then it’s a good thing 2008 is just about over. As a wise turtle once said, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” (5 points to the first person who correctly guess where that’s from.) More »

In the past year Edison Chen has been called many things, and none of these things can be repeated without a violating some sort of TOU (terms of use). But the saddening fact is Edison was once a talented triple threat, a pop icon to be reckoned with. He was one of the many few Asians stars who began to bridge the gap related to the xenophobic media of the west. Now his involvement in infamous sex scandal has changed his once bright future into an obscure prospect.

The disreputable photos, circulated all over the Internet, were very much taken by the actors own hand. These sexually explicit and nude shots damaged not only his rising name, but the reputations of Bobo Chan Man, Candice Chan, Mandy Chen, Yumiko Cheng, Cecilia Cheung, Yu Chiu, Gillian Chung, Rachel Ngan, Jolin Tsai, Maggie Q, Joey Yung, Rosanne Wong and Vincy Yeung and some say even Japanese star Chiaki Kuriyama (although to my knowledge that has never been confirmed). Subsequently although the tabloid-tarnish did seriously alter some of these actresses lives, such as broken relationships (engagements and marriages), many are still working in media without any new issues.
