We recently shipped off a bunch of prizes from KPOP Idol-Off. Ningin prize winners should be happy to know that their prize is a prize that keeps giving. Reward Points, that is. Simply take a photo of your prize and we’ll give you Reward Points for it. More »

To all the new people that have joined Ningin recently, welcome! On the surface, Ningin looks like a KPOP website with all the news and notes from the KPOP world, but that’s really just the tip of the iceberg here. We do cover KPOP and we like to think we do it extremely well. However, we also cover news from all facets of the Asian media world and we like to do a lot of fun things to get people to interact together. Some of which includes forming teams to play in flash gaming tournaments like the Heartthrob-off event coming up next week and another big thing starting soon is the Mixr Legions Beta Test. Mixr Legions is a social game that really encourages you to interact with all features and areas of Ningin and get to know the other users here. What better way to learn about the the things that we have here then from our long-time users? Best of all, every competition here earns Reward Points to use in our Reward Center for the winners! The sign-ups end in about 24 hours, so hurry up if you want to join! More »

As some of you may have read by now, we gave out 347 (!!!) prizes this past year. And that’s just on Ningin, so there’s a lot more if you count our other websites. Lots of lucky Ninginers this year! Plus, we launched our Reward Center this past month which allows you to earn prizes over time in addition to our regular giveaways. Things can’t get any better right? Yes it can. Read on. More »

Today I am happy to unveil a new feature that I’m personally very excited about, Ningin Voices. In short, Ningin Voices is a community blog where any one of you can post to it. There you can share your thoughts, opinions, artwork, photos, and other musings. And for you effort, we will give you Reward Points to use in our Reward Center. Essentially, blog and you can earn free stuff. We’ve always been about rewarding people for their contributions to the community, this is yet another way to do so. More »

Another, more common variation of that question is why did I lose EXP? So like I always do when I start to see a flurry of similar questions, I will answer them once and for all in one blog post. More »

This is yet another way to win prizes on Ningin and might I add, a very novel and innovative way to give out prizes on a news site. It’s intended to reward high level users (10+) and provides a means for people to win prizes that they truly want/need/gotta have/will die without. As you already know, we give out a ridiculous amount of prizes each month, but we still have way more users than prizes to give out. We want to make sure we have lots of different ways to win something that rewards both the most active users and the new users as well. This obviously is intended to reward the most active users. Read on to see how it’ll work. More »

Ningin has been adding a lot of new users lately and I wanted to write a guide that will help you get to know us better. A lot of you find us because of our giveaways – we love giving out free stuff – but we’re more than your typical blog/news site. There are many other cool things about Ningin that you should know about. Things like: More »

First a little background. The purpose of Newsstream is to bring all the news, blogs, and articles related to Ningin together in one place making it organized and easy to find. However, not every article on every website that we scan is worth reading. Not necessarily because the article is bad but perhaps it’s not related to Asian stuff. So we need users like you to determine if the article is worth the attention of Ningin users by promoting it. More »

EXP, short for experience points, is a measure of all the activity that you do on our network. In essence, the more you participate in our communities, the more EXP you will earn. High levels of EXP also grants you unique abilities and it’s also the basis of many of our contests and giveaways. More »

I know there’s a been a flurry of EXP changes in the past couple of weeks and at some point I’ll get to writing a full guide to answer most of your questions. However, the changes are still ongoing so it makes sense to wait till I finish all the features that I want to add. The guide is the next thing on my todo list. Until then, I’ll continue to update via blog posts and on Twitter (@ningin). Read on for the updates so far. More »

I think Ningin has a serious problem. Ningin is giving out way too many prizes each week! There’s just too many and it might be confusing for people to keep track of them all. Let’s break down all the different ways you can win stuff here on Ningin. More »

Yesterday we switched over to the new EXP scoring system for good. For the most part there were no issues and hopefully none will come up later. As I explained earlier, there are a lot of changes. Refer to that post if you forgot what some of them were. I’m going to get into hints and tips about the fastest ways to score EXP. More »

I have a dream that one day this website will rise up and live out its true potential: “To be the best and largest Asian entertainment community in the world!” I have a dream that one day we’ll unite anti’s and fans and transform their hatred of each other into useful discourse and competitive flash gaming. I have a dream that my kids one day can visit a website and not be judged by their fan affiliation but rather the content of their forum comments and the cuteness of their emoticons. I have a dream today! More »
