Some SNSD haters were attending their White Day concert and were very rude and started throwing glowsticks at the girls. What the heck?! I’m not a big fan of SNSD (I guess you can call me a minimal fan) and I think this is out of hand and ridiculous. No matter how much you hate a group, there’s no justifying throwing stuff at them. There are some immature anti-fans out there. More »

It was glorious. It followed most of the clichés that the earlier series followed, some kid gets caught up in the middle of an attack and jumps into a gundam. But what I like about this one is that it follows the mood of the original gundam and zeta gundam more closely. More »

Well isn’t this an intersting and weird combination. Gundam + McDonald’s = Awesomeness mixed with WTF?! More »

From Rekuru:

The end of the year is rapidly coming to a close and with it, a decade as well. I decided it would be nice to look back at 2009 and reflect on what this past year has taught us. Below, I’ve compiled 10 things that we (or at least some of us) learned over the course of 2009. More »

I have nothing else to wish for this Christmas and I felt my heart thumping when I saw pictures of the life size Gundam in Japan. And since I love gundam so much, why not. It’d be kinda useless but I want one anyways. It looks like it has a lot of space inside so maybe it could make a nice room. Or some sort of tree house. I heard that the head can move too. Sounds like a really cool gimmick. More »

Namie Amuro’s newly released album PAST<FUTURE contains a song, Love Defend, with a music video full of Gundam goodness. Namie Amuro + Gundam = match made in heaven? Find out for yourselves! More »

When I first saw the manga titled “Kampfer,” I was expecting something as badass as this (it’s the mobile suit Kampfer from Gundam: War in a Pocket). Obviously, I was disappointed. Until I read the summary for it. Some normal high school boy wakes up as a magical girl. What can go wrong? More »

It’s nice to see Sunrise working on turning a Gundam novel into anime. Their more recent series (Gundam 00, Seed, Destiny) just didn’t feel right to me. Hopefully this encourages more Universal Century stuff (the original gundam timeline) to get animated. It feels bad missing out on a huge chunk of the story just because I can’t read the novels/manga like Crossbone Gundam and Hathaway’s Flash. More »

Next time you’re mulling around Kobe with nothing to do (for instance if the Wendy’s near the station is closed) you might want to check out the Gundam bar “Axis.” Besides supplying Gundam themed drinks of all shapes and sizes, the bar features over 300 plastic figures. Also of all shapes and sizes. More »

Apparently earlier this year, a man named Eddie Rath released an online album devoted to the manga/anime, Naruto. I thought it was absolutely awesome that an entire English album dedicated to an anime was available in the States (only in mp3 format however). But after listening to a few songs….let’s just say I had a different opinion. More »

From Ziggytek: About a months ago the giant model of the classic Rx-78-2 Gundam was introduced to the public and towered over Tokyo but now the giant has been lit and it looks amazing. Take a peek at some of the pictures after the break. More »

Someone in Odaiba Japan is trying to make a full scale replica of a Gundam fighter. For those that never watched the anime, a Gundam is this building size robots that fights in battles. It looks pretty impressive so far!

At first glance, Takanori Nishikawa looks like a short pretty boy. Don’t judge his talent by his looks! Takanori’s music career started in 1990 where he was the lead singer for the band, Luis-Mary. At the time, his stage name was Haine but little did he know, he would eventually be the famous Japanese music artist known as T.M.Revolution.

With New York Anime Festival coming up, why would someone introduce a singer? Isn’t this supposed to be about anime? Well, for the past twelve years, Takanori Nishikawa has brought more than just music. Whether it’s anime, music, or acting, Takanori has brought a revolution. More »

It’s in the near future that technology has advanced to a point where human powered machines make people into, larger than life, super powered robots. Sound familiar? Well that’s the basic premise of Mecha stylized Anime. This science fiction backdrop varies, but the influence is the mainstay; without this genre, Anime would not be the same.

My first vivid memory with these massive exoskeleton suits was the American version of the Macross series. Known in the USA as Robotech; the storyline follows pilots of the UN spacey as they take flight to beat an over-sized race of humanoids, called the Zentradi. The type of Mech our brethren used made ordinary humans just as tall as their alien enemies. This also allowed them to transform into air fighting jet planes.  What was even more common is the Zentradi soldiers also wore protective mechanical suits making this technology universal. More »
