Norwegian Wood‘ will follow a beautifully written book of Haruki Murikami with the direction by Tran Anh Hung, an Oscar nominated director of “The Scent Of Green Papaya“. It will open in US theaters starting January 6th, 2012 in Washington DC & New York. One of its best features, other than it being one of the most somber, gorgeous and memorable movies, is that the main character Watanabe is played by Japan’s rising star Kenichi Matsuyama (who won my heart long time ago with his role as L in the Death Note movies). Outrage is a movie directed by Takeshi Kitano, that depicts the corruption in the underworld of yakuza. Kitano, being the admired mastermind of directing, finds ways of inflicting death in ways normal people are unable to find. This is his second yakuza movie, following the one in 2001.
