Kazuya Kamenashi, part of the Japanese boyband KAT-TUN, has a become a sportscaster for “GOing!! Sports & News,” which is going to replace NTV’s current sports show, “SUPER Urugusu.” The new show will be hosted by Comedian Shinya Ueda of Cream Stew and baseball commentator Suguru Egawa. More »

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a hyped Japanese drama that recently just started. It is based on the manga Wallflower. It is about four hotties that are living in a mansion and in order to get their rent free they must make the landlord’s niece into a lady. Problem is, Sunako is a dark and creepy girl that loves horror, so when she moves in the hilarity ensues. Unfortunately, I have only seen one episode of the anime and haven’t read the manga, so I only know little changes about the drama. Like, the landlord’s son is living in the house as well, played by the adorable Kato Seishiro while in the manga no one lived with them. More »


MR. BRAIN was a highly successful Japanese drama that aired this summer. In a nutshell, Tsukumo Ryusuke, SMAP’s Kimura Takuya, used to be a host until a siding of a building fell on him, and miraculously turned him super smart. I think it had to do with what the doctors had to do in order to save him. Anyway, he goes to America to earn all of these degrees and comes back to Japan to join National Research Institute of Police Science as the head neurologist. More »
