On a recent episode of SBS’ ‘Running Man’, SNSD’s Ice Princess, Jessica, was spotted wearing a dress that IU was also seen wearing a while ago on ‘Inkigayo’. It’s Pepero Day! 11/11/11! Pepero Day is so formed because when you put four Pepero sticks together, it looks like 4 ones, hence why 11/11 is known as Pepero Day in South Korea (though I suppose you could get the same effect with just 3 1’s, right?). It’s akin to Valentine’s Day and White Day and it’s the day where you give your favorite people Pepero! Oh, I should probably mention that Pepero is the Korean version of Pocky. And while other countries are remembering their fallen heroes, guess South Korea is celebrating this “holiday”. So now, let’s see which idols deserve some pepero! More »

So, with Halloween coming up, I started to think and think. Halloween is all about the fun and the tricks, but it’s also time for a bit of scaring. Ah, Homecoming. This is mainly a tradition that’s seen in North America, particularly in the US. It’s where schools welcome back their alumni and hold various events (high school Homecoming dances, college football games). Traditionally, in high school, there is also what’s known as the Homecoming Court, where the senior year typically chooses which seniors should be present in the Court. This is who I’d choose as my Homecoming Court! More »

As we all know, most Korean groups have fan clubs, with very unique names. Fan clubs and their names help fans to distinguish between fans of the same group as them and in other groups.
