Jinra is too busy washing her hair or something, so I’m writing this week’s prize winners/updates. In case we haven’t said this enough times, we just launched HTCYou - a site for HTC phone users and Google Android news. That’s site #10 for us yay! Soon, we’ll be giving out unlocked HTC phones as part of the promo. I bet that got your attention. There was also some Mixr League Gaming action or MLG for short. We didn’t have just one tournament, but two: Ningin defeated the evil chimera known as BlitzKuTek; and the Battle of the Sexes, where the guys were oh so close to beating the girls. We’re still experimenting around with various rules, length, team sizes, etc. but so far so good. The much more intense MLG 3-month long ladder starts this week. My bold prediction, someone from a Mixr site will win! More »

The MLG Tournament II truly was a test of character and flash gaming spirit for a lot of MLG players. Despite a previous victory, one MLG team had to withstand harsh criticism and banter from all sides. Given today’s official results, that one team has again emerged unscathed and without major finger bruises to prove themselves winners of MLG Tournament II. That team is Team Ningin. More »

Well everyone, the final day of the MLG Tournament II has come and gone. Unofficially, it looks like Ningin is going to dominate this tournament against BlitzKuTek again with a score of 5-2. Read on for a recap of all the happenings of day 3 of the MLG Tournament II. More »

Again I blog before you in pure amazement of the success Ningin is enjoying so far against BlitzKuTek in MLG Tournament II. As a quick recap of all that is happening in the MLG for this week, Ningin is playing against BlitzKuTek, a team of allied bloggers from football site BlitzNation.com, J-entertainment site Rekuru.com and gadget site ZiggyTek.com. Currently Ningin is holding down 5 points vs. BlitzKuTek’s 2. More »

Welcome my friends to the exciting first day of MLG Tournament II. This week Ningin is playing against BlitzKuTek, a team of allied bloggers from football site BlitzNation.com, J-entertainment site Rekuru.com and gadget site ZiggyTek.com. Ningin currently has the lead with 4 points to BlitzKuTek’s 2. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going on so far: More »

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, but life would be so boring without you. If not for Ningin, I wouldn’t have a reason to be blabbing about all the greatest news and announcing prize winners in a weekly blog post such as this. I mean, how or where else could I blog about the fact that our flash game gaming league, the MLG, just hosted it’s first official tournament here this past week? Or simply the fact that a flash game league exists? (Btw, go team Ningin!) Or that last week we also put together a New Year’s Resolution Special starring you? I could only tell you that if not for you, I’d probably be clawing my eyes out due to sheer boredom. More »

After an emotionally grueling, finger-breaking weekend, the first official MLG Tournament has come to a close with victory earned by one team, and one team alone. Initially believed by many to have no fighting chance at winning this tournament due to lack of gaming experience, this team rose up like a phoenix from the ashes, to claim victory over Sir Spencealot and the bloggers of Wirebotonia. This team is Ningin. Below is the official closing score card: More »

MLG sports fans, welcome to the recap of Day 3 of the first official MLG Tournament. Tensions arose with yesterday’s tie. Today on the other hand, has been quite interesting. Not because Wirebot talks a lot of smack but because Ningin is currently taking the lead. As of now, the score is 4 to 2. More »

After a slow start, Wirebot has finally decided to participate in the tournament leading up to the current 3-3 tie. They seem to mean business, but Ningin is still holding it’s own against them. Read on for today’s MLG tournament coverage. More »

Day 1 of the first official MLG tournament has proven to be a victorious one for Ningin so far. Not that I’m biased because I’m Queen Jinranidas and team captain for Ningin, but I think if Team Ningin continues at this pace, it’s likely we’ll take this win. Check out the current MLG Tournament games report to see for yourself. More »

My fellow Ninginers! As Queen Jinranidas, I am proud to present to you the official Team Ningin roster of players and games for the first official MLG Tournament against the Wirebot.com bloggers. NINGINERS! What is your profession? More »

This past week was one of the craziest we’ve ever had. A big part of the reason why is because of CrazySingleLife, our new dating reality site that launched a few days ago. You’ll find that it’s not like any other dating site. CrazySingleLife is about sharing stories and experiences and helping people feel ok about being single and lost about love. Who knows, it just might help you the next time you go on a date. Then, there was the Mixr Holiday party which can be best summed up as this: unlimited Grey Goose vodka and karaoke. It was an unforgettable crazy night! Can I just tell you, we have so many good singers here. Be on the look out for a Jinra CD cause she’s flat out amazing! More »

What a week we had on Ningin! I think I might have mentioned this somewhere before, but I got to interview Rain and Director James McTeigue from the Ninja Assassin movie. If you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for? There’s not one but two giveaways for it…so far. First there’s the Ninja Assassin gear, and we’re giving our copies of the 28-page Ninja Assassin press junket package. Then we launched a new website, Swandiary, for vampire lovers. Jinra and the Ningin Bloggers put together a fun little Bloodsucker special for it. Speaking of Jinra, her b-day might have been during this past week. Not sure. But I’m sure she’s glad that someone (hint: he was in ninja a movie that’s coming out soon) remembered. So all that was last week. This week, we have another website, Rekuru - for Japanese entertainment, scheduled to launch. And perhaps finally, you’ll see the game system contest we’ve been promising. More »

After starting with weeks of girl groups and girl artists for our weekly prizes, we’ve been doing a lot of male groups and artists lately. It wasn’t planned that way nor is it a big deal, just an observation. Anyway, we got a nice shipment of Super Junior stuff recently so for the rest of month, we’ll be doing Super Junior prizes for our weekly giveaways, including some new Super Junior M - Super Girl albums + posters. With September done, another month ends in the world of Asian media. We had a good month here. We did the End of Summer Special and the Fall Asian TV Special in addition to numerous contests and giveaways. You also might be curious to know that one of the recently heartbroken winner used his (or her) prize to put two hearts together. Though you have to wonder if a relationship started under heartbreak has any longevity. Well heartbreaker month has been wildly successful for us so it’s not quite over yet. First, we’ll get to the poster winners: More »

You guys are a resilient bunch, no matter how often the heartbeak you just keep coming back. That’s a good thing. If you can get through heartbreak then you can get through anything in life. Anyway, another busy week in Ningin. The famous band, Jinra and the Ningin Bloggers, are back making hits with another big feature, Fall Asian TV Special. They profiled lots of interesting new actors on lots of new upcoming shows. For the big screen, we’re helping to give Ong Bak 2 a push by giving out Tony Jaa DVDs to five lucky winners. More »

Are you guys getting used to the heartbreak yet? If not, well, just like any other pain, it’ll end eventually. At the risk of sounding emo, I’m kinda sad that summer is nearing its end. We had such an eventful one here on Ningin. Lucky for us, Jinra and the Ningin Bloggers (that’s the actual name of their band) put together a pretty comprehensive list of awesomeness from this summer which was neatly packaged as the 2009 End of the Summer event. See: Music videos, Movies, Dramas, Remixes & Covers, Smash Pop Hits, Live Performances, Strangest News, & Random Acts of Violence. More »

It’s been a super busy week for everyone here and for Asian pop news in general. So a quick recap, Jaebum quit 2PM and lands on the top of this week’s “worst week ever” list; The White On Rice movie came out on Friday and Ningin got an advance screener for review plus an interview with the director, David Boyle; Telia Tequila almost died; YG Entertainment has a new girl group, Lady Collection; Epik High is coming out with a super mega album; so are Do As Infinity and Maki Goto; and BoA is doing another collab with M-Flo. I feel like I’m forgetting something…oh yea, we launched a new website for NFL fans, BlitzNation.com. Speaking of which, there’s a contest over there for Madden 10 games and Xbox360/PS3 controllers. Really that’s just the tip of the iceberg for both Ningin and for weekly Asian media happenings. In case you haven’t noticed we’ve doubled the amount of blog posts per day. So make of note to check back here more often! More »

September on Ningin is Heartbreaker month. Yes we are dedicating the entire month and maybe more to one of the most painful experiences a human being can have…because G-Dragon decided to make an album with that title. So in this case heartbreak isn’t that bad. If anything, I’m gonna bet you want to heartbroken this month, over and over again. Since we aim to please, we have lots and lots of heartbreak to spread around - albums, posters, and collectible memorabilia. So let the epic heartbreak begin. More »

Thank you for another month of growth for Ningin! It was a pretty good month full of SNSD, 2NE1, and Super Junior give-aways. I hope you guys like the new system of bigger weekly prizes and random winners instead of big monthly prizes. And like I mentioned in my last post, we’ll be launching a new community soon, BlitzNation for NFL fans, which will also have more prizes and giveaways. Specifically XBOX, PS3, and Wii games and accessories as part of the launch promo! How many websites give away so much free stuff like us?! More »
