A Star King performer has taken the song Heartbreaker by G-Dragon to a new level! It’s with magic! Wearing a “new world order is evil” shirt, this magician was able to pull doves out of thin air left and right, which amazes everyone: Girls’ Generation’s Jessica, Yuri, and even ME! After watching the dazzling performance, one move I would love to learn and perfect is the put-on-sunglasses-in-an-instant trick! Watch the performance and you’ll see what I mean… More »

While there are only three official winners, congratulations are due for all of the performers of Kollaboration 9. While some performances weren’t as strong as others, the whole night was nevertheless an enjoyable showcase of a broad range of talents—from magic, to comedy, to dance, to singing. And, of course, the cherry topper: BoA headlining with a performance of “Eat You Up,” which was followed up with a bonus performance of “Look Who’s Talking.” More »

Normally, my stance on ABDC themes is that no matter how absurd some of them may be (re: stamina challenge), what really counts at the end of the day is how the crews own the challenges: incorporation, interpretation and execution are key. With a fun element like magic in play, the performances were all entertaining in their own right. However, it seems that for the first time this season, these challenges proved to be real choke up’s when it came to cohesion and choreography. More »

Last week, I mentioned I didn’t catch the theme of this week’s challenge, and in case you haven’t caught wind of it yet, this week is all about magic tricks. Here is a list of the crews’ illusory challenges and their featured songs for the upcoming episode. I’ve gotta say, it was funny the powers that be decided to throw out two T. Pain songs because I’m still reeling from last week’s Lonely Island SNL digital short—featuring none other than T. Pain. I guess people can’t get enough of auto-tune nowadays… (Poseidon, look. at. meeeee.) Anyhooow, there isn’t much diversity as these are pretty much club and hip hop anthems, but as always, the songs always inform the theme of the crews’ dances, so you’ll just have to wait and see how these work out. For now, enjoy! More »

I was scheduled to speak with Kenichi Ebina at 1:00pm. Unfortunately, I failed to factor in the fact that we live on opposite coasts, making my phone call three hours late! What was I thinking? [clearly, not enough] Fortunately, Ebina is an understanding fellow and graciously spoke with me whilst he drove and made a pit stop at the drive-thru. More »

Diablo is one of the best MMOs I’ve ever played; however, it was unfortunate when Diablo II lost it’s novelty after I played it more than I would like to admit. So when Diablo III was announced, you can only imagine how psyched I was especially after hearing about one of the new classes.

One of the new classes is an Asian, female wizard. Not only does she have a better looking body than any gravure idol but her powers vary from disintegration, electrocution, teleportation, magic missiles and slowing time – most of which the original magic user (sorcerer) could do. But that’s probably just a sample of what she can do. The character page goes into more detail about her background but all I needed to know was that she’s bad ass.

Out of all the new addition in the game, I’m really looking forward to playing her especially since she’s a magic based character, sexy and Asian. Honestly, what more could you ask for? If she was real, I would probably marry her. But anyways next time I go to a convention, I plan to cosplay as her but don’t expect me to shoot lightening out of my hands (although I really wish I could).

The date of release is still unknown unfortunately but BlizzCon is going on right now so hopefully they’ll surprise us. More »
