They say girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice and boys are made of snips, snails and puppy dog tails. In the world of Mixr League Gaming (MLG), such is not the case. MLG players are made of quick wits, intelligence and superior flash game playing skills. Some are made of these things more than others. This Saturday, Jan. 16, the MLG will host it’s first 1-day Battle of the Sexes Match to find out what our players are really made of. More »

Given all the excitement surrounding the MLG and new games feature on Ningin, we’ve decided to continue the excitement with a ladder. Not the kind that’ll give you bad luck if you walk under it — we mean ladder as in, a gaming ladder. The MLG Ladder Tournament, if you will. Starting Weds., Jan. 20, we’ll be kicking off a series of games to be played by four teams of both Mixr staff and users like yourself! More »

It seems that if pin challenges like our Word Blix pin challenge were a trend, you’d be rocking it like it was going out of style. Since it’s doing well, and because we want to keep you in style, we’re doubling the challenges with even more cool pins to win! More »

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, but life would be so boring without you. If not for Ningin, I wouldn’t have a reason to be blabbing about all the greatest news and announcing prize winners in a weekly blog post such as this. I mean, how or where else could I blog about the fact that our flash game gaming league, the MLG, just hosted it’s first official tournament here this past week? Or simply the fact that a flash game league exists? (Btw, go team Ningin!) Or that last week we also put together a New Year’s Resolution Special starring you? I could only tell you that if not for you, I’d probably be clawing my eyes out due to sheer boredom. More »

Ninginers, I challenge you! I challenge you to a pin challenge to the death! Okay, well, not really to the death. You also didn’t read that wrong, it does indeed say pin challenge and not pin game. With the MLG Tournament II upon us, we want everyone to share in the same fun of playing super intense (but super fun) flash games. This week’s pin challenge involves Word Blix, a game I have been seriously practicing ever-so-hard to beat BlitzKuTek in next week’s MLG Tournament. More »

After our victorious defeat over gaming site Wirebot.com, Ningin is ready and back for more action against BlitzKuTek for the upcoming MLG Tournament II. Our attack on Wirebot, a team of skilled gamers was somewhat sneaky and unexpected…kind of like we were more ninja than Spartan. This time around, call me Jinra, head ninja of the Ningin Assassins! As head ninja, I’m proud to announce our roster of MLG II Ningin Assassins: More »

Congratulations to Ningin again for the upset win over Wirebot in the inaugural MLG tournament. So far I like what I’m seeing with Mixr League Gaming. There has been many a tearful eye, much blood was spilled, and we even had a couple of babies exchanged hands. Yes, all this makes for a bright MLG future and something that we’re going to greatly expand. Pretty soon, we’re going to have users form their own teams and play for pins. prizes, and other glories in the MLG Ladders. Still lots of testing that needs to be done, but we’re getting there! Ningin’s victorious defeat over Wirebot in MLG Tournament I, has done much to rile the emotions of many Mixr sites within the Mixr Kingdom. So much so, that football site BlitzNation.com, Japanese entertainment site Rekuru.com and gadgets site ZiggyTek.com have joined forces to become BlitzKuTek, a team of allied bloggers from each respective site. After all, how could it be that a team of non-gamers (Ningin) beat a team of gamers (Wirebot) in a flash game tournament? More »

After an emotionally grueling, finger-breaking weekend, the first official MLG Tournament has come to a close with victory earned by one team, and one team alone. Initially believed by many to have no fighting chance at winning this tournament due to lack of gaming experience, this team rose up like a phoenix from the ashes, to claim victory over Sir Spencealot and the bloggers of Wirebotonia. This team is Ningin. Below is the official closing score card: More »

MLG sports fans, welcome to the recap of Day 3 of the first official MLG Tournament. Tensions arose with yesterday’s tie. Today on the other hand, has been quite interesting. Not because Wirebot talks a lot of smack but because Ningin is currently taking the lead. As of now, the score is 4 to 2. More »

Welcome to 2010, Ninginers! We hope you had a great time ringing in the new year with our End of the Year Special and the kick-off of the first official Mixr League Gaming Tournament. According to the latest report, things are getting intense between Ningin and Wirebot. More »

After a slow start, Wirebot has finally decided to participate in the tournament leading up to the current 3-3 tie. They seem to mean business, but Ningin is still holding it’s own against them. Read on for today’s MLG tournament coverage. More »

Day 1 of the first official MLG tournament has proven to be a victorious one for Ningin so far. Not that I’m biased because I’m Queen Jinranidas and team captain for Ningin, but I think if Team Ningin continues at this pace, it’s likely we’ll take this win. Check out the current MLG Tournament games report to see for yourself. More »

My fellow Ninginers! As Queen Jinranidas, I am proud to present to you the official Team Ningin roster of players and games for the first official MLG Tournament against the Wirebot.com bloggers. NINGINERS! What is your profession? More »

As Commissioner of the inaugural Mixr League Gaming tournament, it’s my job to do a number of things - ensure that all the rules are followed, incite riot and animosity among the participants, ensure that no animals or interns are harmed, and pick out games that would make for good tournament play. I must say this is a particularly challenging job, but I feel good about my abilities. More »

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday week. I know I did. For Christmas this year, Hoc gave me the present of taking the torch of announcing weekly prize winners and updating you with all the Ningin news. Hoc’s like that relative that actually gifts you with things you need, like socks. Truthfully, we needed this present — clearly, I am the cuter person for this weekly blog post. Speaking of presents, we really hope you enjoyed the ones we got you this year, like our 12 Days of Christmas Special and our new flash games sub-site. More »

Ninginers! As of today, think of me not as Jinra, Mother Ningin, but as Queen Jinranidas. Looming ahead in the not-so-distant horizon of 2010 is a grand sporting event of epic proportions. For an event as grand as this, I call upon you to prepare for glory! From Jan. 2 to 4, Ningin will host the birth of the first official Mixr League Gaming (MLG) Tournament. Teams that compete in the MLG are formed of both Mixr staff and community members based on cyberathletic ability in flash games. More »
