Thank you for another month of growth for Ningin! It was a pretty good month full of SNSD, 2NE1, and Super Junior give-aways. I hope you guys like the new system of bigger weekly prizes and random winners instead of big monthly prizes. And like I mentioned in my last post, we’ll be launching a new community soon, BlitzNation for NFL fans, which will also have more prizes and giveaways. Can you believe it’s August already? July was a pretty intense month of awards and giveaways for Ningin. Between the Summer Rewards which gave out 37 albums to 35 people, the weekly poster prizes, and this frickin awesome SNSD autographed poster set, I would say it was a pretty good month. It was a lot of work just keeping track of all the prizes and winners! One final fun stat, we gave out 10 SNSD and 10 2NE1 albums. No clear winner there. More »

The Ningin staff is having a debate as to what type of prizes we should give out to the monthly top winners. Some of us are saying we should be giving things that have a lot of monetary value like a brand new Nintendo DS or a new iPhone. I feel like this phase is the one that’s long overdue. The EXP system, sometimes also called our reputation or reward system, is basically just that, a means of keeping track of your reputation here on Ningin and also a means of rewarding you. We ended up calling it EXP because it’s very much akin to experience points in video games and because it’s just short to say and type. Plus, I think most people just know what EXP is when you say it unless you never once played video games in your life. More »
