I guess Christmas is an apropo time to talk about rewards and prizes. It’s been about a year since we first launched the Ningin Reward Center. In that time, about 50 prizes have been rewarded - a lot more if you count Limited Edition Pins. Between the Reward Center and the 366+ prizes we gave out this past year alone, Ninginers had numerous opportunities to receive free Kpop merchandise just for being a user of this site. Next year, there will be a major change to this structure. As much as we like doing giveaways, we don’t like having to package and ship them. It’s just an incredibly time consuming thing to do. Enter KpopHeaven. Meeting the founders of KpopHeaven was truly serendipitous for us. They allow us to focus our editorial and contests while they handle the fulfillment. It’s been awhile since we concluded Stage 1 of Mixr Legions so let’s do a quick recap. Team Super SM Boys narrowly edged out Team Island of Infinite Boyfriend Kisses in the final moments of what was a back and forth match. The final score was 2000 to 1985. Team Super SM Boys will see 12 members from their team advance while only 9 from Team Island of Infinite Boyfriend Kisses will move on. Over 100 people signed up, only 21 remains. The advancing players were chosen based on number of Legion Points and EXP earned in Stage 1 as well as their total overall activity during the past the competition. Now we’ll be breaking into teams of three with the winning team - and most dedicated Kpop fans - will earn an album that they chose during signup. We’ll be starting Stage 2 at 12am EST tonight. There’s about 120 contestants for this November session of Mixr Legions, which is 50% more than last time! The KPOP loyalties, based on your album preference, seems to be split half-way between SM boy groups vs everyone else. I can’t wait to see which team advances. The Mixr Legions Season returns next month! For those new to Ningin, this is an especially great way to learn the ins and outs of Ningin. It’s also a great way to make friends and connect with other KPOP-loving members. Mixr Legions basically makes a game out of being a Ningin user and uses the EXP system that we have as a basis for scoring. You can learn about Mixr Legion via this guide. Recapping Stage 1, Super Simple beat KPOP the World and will see 17 of their members advance to this stage. KPOP the World will have 13 members represented here. The remaining players were chosen based on number of Legion Points and EXP earned in Stage 1 as well as their total overall activity during the past few days of the competition. Team Big Beast won the first phase of Mixr Legions Test #6. They scored 556 while SM and Friends only managed to score 518. Around the 48 hour to go mark, team SM and Friends actually had a small lead. Unfortunately, their slow start doomed them as Team Big Beast made a big, beastly surge in the last 24 hours to win it. Thus Team Big Beast will see more players, 18 in total advance to Phase 2. Team SM and Friends will only see 12 players advance. Team Big Beast will break into 6 smaller teams of 3 people. SM and Friends will break into 4 teams of 3. So Phase 2 will have 10 total teams vying for top Legion and free KPOP albums! Good job to all those that advanced. Ningin gives out nearly one prize a day. I think we’ll be on pace for more than that this year. The number of prizes we ship out is so much, we hired a shipping company to take care of the fulfillment. If you won a prize, you really want to make it easy on everyone by making sure you follow our simple set of instructions.
