Se7en has left New York City. Life has returned to normal here, but it was one crazy weekend. Jeanette Eng and I managed to sit down with Se7en for some sun and fresh air overlooking Fifth Avenue. We almost didn’t catch it on camera because of a faulty microphone, but Dan Fisher came thru for us in the clutch. He was the official videographer for Se7en’s NYC visit. The man flew all the way out from Seattle. No joke. I don’t want to bore you with camera talk, but Dan knows his stuff. And who wouldn’t want to have his job? More »

Ok Northeastern BoA fans, Ningin went to great lengths to put together an album pre-release party for you and to help BoA promote her album. Why should West Coast BoA fans have all the fun? More »

While we’re waiting for parental consent forms from a couple of entries for the Dance Contest before we can announce the top 10, you’ll be happy to know that Ningin will be doing a video interview with the Wonder Girls sometime after they finish the NYC concert. The interview will be entirely in English so we’ll get a chance to see how much they improved since the last time Ningin interviewed them back in September at the NYC Chuseok festival. More »

Utada’s been out in full force these past few weeks to get herself known in mainstream America. Island Def Jam (Utada’s American record label) sent us this cool little video of what Utada’s been doing out in LA—during the Grammys! With four weeks left to go until the release of This Is The One, Utada is out there making lots of friends — and new fans! More »

Q: Who are you here for?

A: (by Time Square BoA Fan) BoA! BoA Kwon!

So we promised some extra BoA content. Ningin film crew members David Hou and Amy Chang interviewed BoA fans outside of Time Square New York on December 3rd right before the BoA performance there.

I have to say, it’s pretty cool to see BoA’s name and face as part of the neon landscape of Time Square. That makes a great statement to me.

Anyway, get to know other BoA fans with this video. Expect special performances by Dancing BoA Fan Guy and Singing BoA Fan Guy! Also, I’ve been told four Boajjang people were in attendance.

Every year, the Korean Produce Association in Flushing, New York, puts together a big, public event to celebrate Chuseok - the Korean equivalent of Thanksgiving. This year Wondergirls are the headline act and Miss Info of Hot 97 is the host. I’ve also been told that other members of JYP’s label are expected to perform such as J-Lim and G-Soul friends of Ningin from our Rebuilding the Bridge Charity event back in July. Many others, including JYP, will be making special appearances. (Note, I haven’t been able to get hard confirmation of anything besides Wondergirls and Miss Info.)

Ningin has been granted a private, video interview with the Wondergirls which we will post sometime soon after the event! Four Ningin bloggers (yes 4!) will be covering this event, Mia, Lan, Lara, and Jessica because we’re trying to get as many interviews, photographs, and videos as we can. We’re also planning to provide hi-definition streaming of the event, but that depends on weather conditions and equipment setup of the event host. Should be a fun Sunday =)
